چکیده

The outcome of patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL) has improved significantly in recent years, which is why attention increasingly been focused on the well-being these young patients. Consistent this, study aimed to analyze influence HL and its treatment spermatogenic status males detect new predictors influencing probability parenthood. In this retrospective study, spermatogenesis 42 male (median age 25 years) treated at University Hospital Bari (Italy) between 2008 2016 was studied. Spermiogram available all diagnosis, while 24 spermiogram also after therapy. All underwent ABVD as first-line chemotherapy, 6 relapsed/refractory disease autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (ASCT). Results: At we found that 15 (35%) had normozoospermia, 19 (45%) oligozoospermia, 8 (19%) only other dyspermic conditions. Analyzing prognostic factors, number spermatozoa diagnosis reduced stage 3-4 (1.91x10e7 vs. 4.97x10e7; p = 0.001); motility vitality were (motility: 29% 43%, 0.015; vitality: 49% vs 71%, 0.011) presence B symptoms 30% 44%, 0.016; viability: 53% 69%, 0.05); abnormal forms increased high ESR (84% 75%, 0.017) albumin <4 (87% 0.002). After treatment, 17% azoospermia. Of 9 normozoospermic 5 (55%) maintained condition 4 developed azoospermia associated types dyspermia (all undergoing ASCT). 11 oligozoospermia first line alone, (54%) experienced normospermia treatment. Furthermore, who received mean sperm concentration (5.53x10e7 4.02x10e7 treatment). We 4/6 ASCT post-treatment control. On hand, 2 3 patients, before became severe impairment fertility terms (74% 22% ASCT; 0.025). did not undergo a statistically significant improvement (35% 50% treatment; 0.009) Conclusions: induced infertility majority could improve caused by disease. Treatment of Newly Diagnosed and Relapsed Hodgkin Lymphoma in Children

Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) accounts for about 10% of all childhood cancers. Five-year survival rates with modern therapies are now approaching >90-95% as a consequence of its significant sensitivity to both chemotherapy and radiation. The current challenge is to determine how much therapy is needed to improve survival and how to adapt treatment to the patient to prevent these long term toxicities. T...
